TLDR: Bitcoin is at a critical level. Break above the 64k resistance and the bull party resumes. Fail there and BTC could fall to new lows. Next week is going to be decisive for the market.

Bitcoin dropped to 57k this week and people started to panic. Whenever that happens you should consider pressing the buy button. Since this correction started, the price fell by 23% compared to the all-time high. This is in line with a normal correction in a bull market.

To me, this recent drop is more than sufficient for buyers to return and take BTC into a sustained recovery that can see new highs later on. Could BTC fall lower?

I’ll stay short to medium-term bearish if the price fails to break above the 64k resistance. A bearish retest at this key level could signal a continuation of the downtrend. If so, watch for 52k and 48k support levels as next targets.

However, buyers came in strong at the 57k support and some altcoins pumped by 40%! This shows we’ve reach price levels that are becoming attractive. That makes lower lows less likely in my view.

You didn’t think the bull market was over, did you? It’s FAR from over. It’s only May and we’ve got plenty of time left in this year to enjoy more pumps. What you’ve seen in April was an expected correction after a massive pump in early 2024.

Altcoins are starting to pump again and the first ones to do it were… meme coins! That’s great news because it means retail may be returning to the market. That’s exactly what we want to hear.

I also mentioned BTC was keen to reverse at 57k before the altcoin pump in our Patrons Pro group. Entries there were excellent, even Bitcoin pumped 10% from that level!
