TLDR: The Bitcoin price continues to consolidate in a flat range. However, this lack of volatility is indicative of a major move later on and anything is possible right now.
The Bitcoin chart and its indicators are giving us mixed signals. For example, on the weekly MACD we have a bearish cross, while on the daily timeframe we’re approaching a bullish cross. Which one do you trust?
Normally, we should go with the higher timeframe and the monthly MACD is still bullish. The price is also compressing in this range with very thin weekly candles. This tells me that a major move is ahead of us.
As long as Bitcoin remains in the green box the trend stays flat. Once the price leaves it, we will know where Bitcoin is headed next. If we are to trust the monthly chart, higher highs are likely. Nevertheless, bears can return fast if they take the price under 90k.
If we put Bitcoin aside, we notice that some altcoins are turning bullish after a prolonged correction since December 2024. This is encouraging and may support a bullish view in the weeks to come. Let’s look at the most promising ones next.
Top three altcoins this week!
In the past week, a number of altcoins are giving clear signals that their correction may be over soon. This is encouraging and it may well be that March could see altcoins start to recover across the board.
While Bitcoin moved sideways, most altcoins went through quite a sharp correction since December 2024. That’s why, I’d not be surprised for the market to give us a relief rally or perhaps even higher highs across the board soon.
If Bitcoin makes a new record, the market will surely heat up again, including alts. If you lean bullish, this is the time to take a positions. Let’s look at the three most promising altcoins based on their price action today.
