Latest market outlook
TLDR: Bitcoin made a new record price at 112k! Expect new records later this year as the rally continues. Exiting times ahead!
In my last alpha post, I said that a new test of the previous all-time high at 109k will likely see that resistance break. It did! Bitcoin moved beyond and quickly reached 112k, placing it into price discovery (read this post for my explanation on that).
Since then, Bitcoin entered a pullback which was triggered by Trump’s Friday tweet about placing 50% tariffs on the European Union. That saw the price quickly drop by almost 5%. This is a healthy pullback that could see BTC approach 100k before continuing higher.
Any pullback is an opportunity to buy right now. The expectation is that Bitcoin will make new highs as its rally continues in the coming months. Key targets are at 150k and 200k. The second half of 2025 looks very promising, including for alts.
It is important to mention that BTC did not make a new record price when measured against EUR or CHF (Swiss franc). That’s because USD has devalued quite a bit this year against other currencies.

It is not often that I get excited about a new DeFi primitive. However, the protocol I discovered this week ticked all my boxes for something that you don’t see every day.
It’s fresh out the oven so you probably haven’t heard about it. This new DeFi protocol marries the best of Hyperliquid ecosystem with the best of Ethena ecosystem. Better yet, it simplifies them both.
